Why Full Photo Library Access is required
Photo Cleaner requires Full Photo Library Access to analyse your complete library, accurately identify duplicate and similar photos, and provide complete cleanup collections.
Limited Photo Library Access exposes only the photos and videos selected by the user. This is not sufficient for Photo Cleaner’s core functionality because the app cannot analyse the complete library or provide complete and accurate cleanup results. If Limited Access is selected, the app asks you to enable Full Access before continuing.
To enable Full Access, open iOS Settings, find Photo Cleaner — under Apps on newer iOS versions — open Photos, and select Full Access.
Gallery refresh and sync
If the library view looks out of date after importing, deleting or syncing photos in the Photos app, return to Photo Cleaner and reopen the relevant collection. Allow a moment for local analysis to catch up, especially after large iCloud Photos updates.
A stable network connection can help when iCloud Photos is still downloading originals. Photo Cleaner processes media on your device and does not upload your photo library to IKresh.
Reviewing or discarding pending changes
Photos marked for removal are placed in a review queue before anything is deleted. Open the Review screen to inspect the complete selection, restore individual items, or discard the entire set of decisions.
Changes are applied only after you confirm the final selection through the standard iOS photo-library confirmation flow.
Recovering removed photos
Removed items are handled through the iOS Photos framework. Depending on your iOS settings, deleted photos and videos may remain in the Recently Deleted album for a limited time before permanent deletion.
To attempt recovery: open the Photos app, go to Albums, open Recently Deleted, select the items you want, and tap Recover. iCloud Photos behaviour and retention periods are controlled by Apple.
Restoring purchases
If you reinstall Photo Cleaner or switch devices while signed in with the same Apple Account, use the restore-purchases option in the app. Purchases and subscriptions are linked to your Apple Account.
Redeeming an Apple offer code
If you received an Apple offer code for Photo Cleaner, redeem it through the App Store or the redemption flow presented in the app when available. Offer codes are managed by Apple and apply to the Apple Account that redeems them.
Cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. To cancel, open iOS Settings, tap your name, open Subscriptions, select Photo Cleaner, and cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s refund policies.
Resetting local progress
Open Photo Cleaner Settings and choose Reset Progress. This removes local Photo Cleaner progress, review state and cleanup history from your iPhone. It does not remove photos or videos and does not cancel an Apple subscription.
